I conduct my research in partnership with students and faculty from around the world. We use a wide range of research methods, including archival data analysis, experience sampling, online surveys, and in-person interactions.

There is often space in my lab for undergraduate students who want some research experience, either as part of an honors thesis, for credit, or on a volunteer basis.

I have a new graduate student starting fall 2025 and am interested in taking on another graduate student to start fall 2026.

Graduate Students

HEATHER LI

Peichen (Heather) Li is a Ph.D. student at the Rady School of Management. Her research interests center on generative AI and emotion. She is also curious about how strategic choices in communication mediums—such as AI tools—can signal different levels of power. In her spare time, you might find Heather visiting botanical gardens, practicing jazz dance, or hunting for second-hand vinyl records.
